Litten Stitches

Litten Stitches is a craft brand based in a small country on the northern coast of Borneo island, Brunei Darussalam, which primarily focuses on artisanal crochet jewellery. Inspired by the founder's love for flowers, each collection has unique and meaningful pieces that bloom even under the cloudy sky.

Story of Litten Stitches

Litten Stitches started in the year 2018 as an online curated stationery shop, bringing in various stationery like Pilot Iroshizuku inks, MT washi tapes and Kitta stickers.Then in 2022, Litten Stitches started designing its own stickers and memo pads with cute creatures inspired from the fantasy stories the founder wrote during her secondary school years.In the story, litten, shy-natured plant creatures that looked similar to a marimo, love admiring artists doing their work usually from behind a rock or in the lake.One day, a litten was found injured by the main character and was successfully healed by her stitching it up. This encounter inspired her to name the stationery cafe she runs, Stitched Litten.As stitches represent the progress of life and the founder's life journey is still in progress, with a little twist, the name Litten Stitches sprouted. This parallels the crochet pieces made by using different stitches representing the journey.As the founder goes on her journey, she has met wonderful people who have inspired her to express her own creativity.This led Litten Stitches to grow in a different direction that aligned more with the founder's craftmanship and life principles.Now, with the strong belief that every jewellery piece should be meaningful and long lasting, Litten Stitches focuses on handcrafting wearable works of art where each intricate crochet piece is one-of-a-kind.The crochet pieces are designed and made thoughfully for each collection in small batches using natural fibers such as cotton threads and yarns, together with curated stationery, makes you beautifully bloom.

The person behind Litten Stitches is known as Afiqah aira and she usually labels herself as crochet artist. She spends most of her time in her home studio, either crocheting, reading, or drawing on her iPad.Her love for stationery and crafting was born and inspired by both of her parents. She fell in love with stationery after finding a beautiful black fountain pen in her father's treasure trove. While her love for crafting is a direct influence from her mother's creative DIYs as well as her beautiful cursives. Coincidentally, the initials of her parents are also the initials for Litten Stitches.
